MITHOS at the ACERA Scientific Conference

On April 17, 2026, the MITHOS project was represented at the ACERA Scientific Conference, held at the Business School of Johannes Kepler University (JKU) in Linz, Austria. The event brought together researchers and professionals from the Spanish scientific community in Austria to exchange knowledge and showcase ongoing initiatives.

One contribution from the MITHOS Austrian pilot stood out:

Quick Assessment of Road Conditions — MSc. Novel Certad (JKU-ITS) presented a poster offering insights into the Austrian pilot’s approach to proactive, data-driven motorway maintenance using vehicle sensor data to monitor real-time road conditions.

In addition, DI DR. Angel Losada-Arias (AIT), from the MITHOS project, presented «AI-powered Road Safety: Understanding Traffic Behaviour Using Mobility Observation Box», showcasing how advanced AI techniques and innovative sensing technologies can help understand traffic behaviour and support safer mobility systems.

The participation of Prof. Cristina Olaverri-Monreal, Dr. Joseba Gorospe and MSc. Amirhesam Aghanouri (JKU-ITS) further reinforced the project’s strong presence within the research community in Austria.
